Abstract: The present invention discloses an adaptive holographic optical communication system for high-density multiplexed data transfer. The system includes an optical source assembly, optical modulation array, programmable spatial light modulator, holographic channel- forming assembly, wavefront-sensing assembly, programmable holographic demultiplexer, photodetector array, and signal- reconstruction circuit. Multiple encoded data streams are transformed into distinguishable holographic communication modes and combined with an interleaved channel-reference lattice to form a composite optical field transmitted through a common optical propagation path. Changes in the reference lattice are detected at a receiver to derive an optical channel transfer representation indicating wavefront distortion, attenuation, displacement, polarization change, and intermodal coupling. A corrective holographic phase profile is generated and applied to the transmitter, a dynamic holographic transfer medium, the receiver, or a combination thereof. The corrected optical field is mode-selectively demultiplexed to recover the data streams, while impaired communication modes may be dynamically reallocated to improve transfer capacity and reliability.
