MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621075938 A) filed by Symbiosis International Deemed University on June 18, 2026, for Adaptive Iterative Curvature-Based Super-Resolution System And Method For Enhanced Plant Disease Diagnosis.
Inventor includes Dr. Shreyas Rajendra Hole.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT ADAPTIVE ITERATIVE CURVATURE-BASED SUPER-RESOLUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENHANCED PLANT DISEASE DIAGNOSIS The present invention provides an Adaptive Iterative Curvature-Based Super-Resolution (ICBSR) system (100) and method for enhancing low-resolution plant leaf imagery for accurate disease diagnosis. The system (100) comprises an image acquisition module (110), a curvature computation module (120) modelling local geometric structure through second-order directional derivatives, a Fast Curvature-Based Interpolation (FCBI) module (130) for directional interpolation along principal curvature directions, an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) module (140) for data-driven parameter optimization using hybrid learning, an iterative energy minimization module (150) balancing fidelity and edge preservation, a disease classification module (160), and an output module (170). The system achieves SSIM of 0.918, PSNR of 32.02 dB, and 89.6% disease classification accuracy across eight disease categories, processing images in approximately 6 seconds on standard hardware without GPU acceleration, enabling cost-effective precision agriculture deployment.
