Abstract: Abstract Adaptive Marine Risk Assessment and Self-Powered Safety System for Human-Powered Watercraft The invention relates to an adaptive marine risk assessment and self-powered safety system for human-powered watercraft. The system comprises an energy harvesting module, a rechargeable power storage unit, multiple sensing modules, a processing module, and an emergency response module. Mechanical energy generated during pedaling is converted into electrical energy for continuously powering the system. Operational parameters including vessel inclination, water ingress, speed, geographical location, harvested energy, and battery condition are acquired and processed using an adaptive sensor fusion engine. The processing module computes a dynamic Marine Risk Index by assigning adaptive weighting factors to multiple operational parameters and performs confidence validation to reduce false emergency alarms. Based on the computed Marine Risk Index, the system automatically initiates graded emergency responses including distress communication, and location transmission. The invention improves marine safety through predictive risk assessment and intelligent energy management.
