Abstract: The adaptive multi-axis self-locking modular hinge assembly (100) of this invention provides controlled rotational movement, automated positional locking, and vibration-damped operation. The hinge assembly (100) has a primary rotating shaft (103) and a secondary pivot joint (104) for compound angular movement along several axes. To lock the hinge assembly (100) at predefined angular locations, the rotating shaft (103) is attached to a cam-based locking member (105). Hinge assembly (100) has a spring-assisted torque balancing unit (106), which regulates movement force and improves load distribution during opening and closing. To prevent vibration, sudden impact, and operating noise, a protective housing (109) housing a friction damping cartridge (107) For positional retention, the hinge assembly (100) has locking teeth (108) that engage with the cam-based locking member (105). For installation on connected structures, hinge plates (101, 102) include fastening apertures (110). For furniture systems, industrial equipment, robotics, medical devices, foldable structures, and smart mechanical assemblies, the modular configuration allows compact installation, smooth movement, enhanced durability, concealed mounting, and replaceable component integration.
