MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641055412 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on April 30, 2026, for Adaptive Multi-Source Air Quality Forecasting System With Closed-Loop Update Mechanism And Health Advisory Generation.
Inventors include Arivoli. A; Sri Raam R; and Thirisha S.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes an adaptive multi-source air quality forecasting system (100) that integrates ground-based station data, satellite-derived measurements, and weather information to predict pollutant concentration levels over extended time horizons and generate corresponding health advisory alerts. The adaptive multi- source air quality forecasting system (100) comprises a computing device (102) having a processor (104) and a memory (106) for storing one or more instructions executable by the processor (104). The processor (104) is configured to execute plurality of modules (108) for adaptive multi-source air quality forecasting. The plurality of modules (108) comprises a data collection module (110), a pre-processing module (112), a neural network processing module (114), a forecasting module (116), an adaptive update module (118), and an advisory generation module (120). The adaptive multi-source air quality forecasting system (100) is configured to prevent target leakage by applying temporal shift operations to ensure causal consistency in time-series data.
