MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611116855 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Niet on September 30, 2026, for Adaptive Porous-Component Design Optimization System Using Variational Computational Framework.
Inventors include Ajay Kumar; and Rakesh Kumar Singh.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides an adaptive porous-component design optimization system (100) and method for simulation and design optimization of porous structural components. The system comprises a data acquisition module (110) for sensor measurements, a variational computational engine (120) employing a monolithic two- field formulation in displacement and fluid density that derives governing equations and constitutive pressure-density relations from a total free-energy functional through variational principles guaranteeing thermodynamic consistency by construction, an adaptive mesh refinement module (130) driven by energy-derived error indicators including Bregman divergence, a design optimization module (140) employing adjoint-based sensitivity analysis derived from the same variational structure, a material property database (150), an output module (160), and a feedback control module (170) for real-time sensor-based re-calibration and re-optimization. The system is applicable to geotechnical foundation design, biomedical scaffold engineering, and civil infrastructure monitoring.
