MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078787 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on June 25, 2026, for Adaptive Smart Hydration Docking System And Method For Personalized Hydration Management.
Inventor includes Vishnu Priya Arivanantham.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes an adaptive smart hydration docking system (100) for personalized hydration management. The system (100) comprises a docking platform (102), a load-cell sensing unit (104), a signal conditioning module (106), a microcontroller (108), a biometric authentication sensor (110), an electromagnetic stabilization assembly (112), a wireless communication module (114), a power management unit (116), a detachable magnetic adapter (118), and plurality of bio-impedance sensing electrodes (120). The load-cell sensing unit (104) determines liquid intake through weight variation associated with a beverage container (10), while the biometric authentication sensor (110) associates hydration information with an authenticated user. The electromagnetic stabilization assembly (112) enables controlled access to the beverage container (10). The system (100) identifies refill events and low-water conditions, acquires physiological calibration information, and transmits user-associated hydration information for hydration-status assessment, hydration tracking, and hydration feedback generation.
