The system (100) comprises a plurality of imaging units (102) configured to capture real-time traffic data, an edge processing unit (104) for low-latency data processing, and an artificial intelligence processing engine (106) including a vehicle detection module (106A), a traffic density estimation module (106B), and a predictive congestion modeling module (106C). A decision control module (108) determines optimal signal timings based on real-time and predicted traffic conditions, while an emergency vehicle detection module (110) enables priority signal override. A traffic signal controller interface (112) executes control commands, and a cloud analytics server (114) supports data storage and model optimization via a communication network (116).
