MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641084147 A) filed by Sr University on July 09, 2026, for Adaptive Tyre System And Method Thereof.
Inventors include L. M. I. Leo Joseph; and P. Ganesan.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: ADAPTIVE TYRE SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF ABSTRACT An adaptive tyre system (100) is disclosed. The system (100) comprising a sensor network (102) to generate data representative of road surface conditions, environmental conditions, tyre operating conditions, and vehicle operating conditions; a processing unit (106) to receive the generated data from the sensor network (102); segment the generated data into predefined analytical intervals; extract condition parameters and vehicle-operation parameters from the generated data; identify a current terrain condition; determine a corresponding traction requirement associated with the identified terrain condition; calculate a tyre surface configuration; generate configuration data representative of the tyre surface configuration; and generate a control instruction based on the configuration data. A tyre morphing mechanism (108) to receive the control instruction and activate an actuator (110) to physically modify surface characteristics of the tyre. The system (100) adapts the tyre to the identified terrain condition and providing proactive multi-terrain traction optimization. Claims: 10, Figures: 4 Figure 1 is selected.
