Abstract: The present invention relates to smart foul identification system for conventional martial arts like adimurai, allowing real-time detection, classification and recording rule violations using sensor technology. The invention has a central Processing Unit (100), with an embedded computing platform such as Arduino Nano for sensor interfacing and ESP32 for high-speed processing and wireless communication arranged to attain and process the synchronized data from multiple sensing modules. A motion and impact detection unit include accelerometers (101), gyroscope (102) and force sensor (103) integrated within wearable modules are used to detect strike initiation, direction and intensity by measuring linear acceleration, angular velocity and impact magnitude relative to predefined safety thresholds. A vision-based monitoring unit (104) include high-resolution camera modules and image processing algorithm that tracks participants posture and maps strike location to predefined anatomical zones, allowing the detection of restricted areas including the neck, spine and eyes. A proximity detection unit (105) has ultrasonic and infrared sensors that continuously measures inter-participant distance to identify unsafe proximity and unauthorized engagement. A referee synchronization unit (106) offers match state input such as start, stop, pause, allowing identification of fouls occurring after official stoppage. A communication module (107) enables real-time transmission of foul data to an external monitoring system. The rules of the game are embedded in the processing unit and it is correlated to motion impact, positional, and timing data against predefined rule sets stored in memory module (108) thereby classifying fouls into different stages like minor, major and disqualification-level violations. The detection of foul is given as an alert message (109) with audio-visual indicators such as buzzers and display panels placed on the table to notify the officials and viewers.
