Inventors include Ms. Shivani Chauhaniya; Dr. Alok Sharma; Dr. Avinash Singh; Dr. Anurag; and Dr. Vibhu Sahani.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an optimized extraction process for enhancing the yield of polar phytochemicals from Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) using comparative and hybrid extraction techniques. The invention evaluates conventional extraction methods including maceration and Soxhlet, alongside modern techniques such as sonication and a combined maceration-sonication approach. The process utilizes ultrasonic cavitation and controlled solvent diffusion mechanisms to improve solvent penetration into plant cell matrices, resulting in efficient intracellular compound release. Experimental observations indicate that hybrid extraction significantly reduces processing time and solvent consumption while improving extractive yield. Process parameters including solvent polarity, extraction time, temperature, and solid-to-solvent ratio are optimized to achieve reproducible results. The invention provides a scalable, efficient, and reproducible method suitable for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmetic applications where high-yield phytochemical extraction is critical.
