MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511004618 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on January 20, 2025, for Advanced Personal Mobility Vehicle With Robotic Assistance For Persons With Disabilities.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a personal mobility vehicle (100) designed to enhance the mobility, safety, and comfort of persons with disabilities. The vehicle features an enclosed cockpit-like structure (102) constructed from weather-resistant, impact-resistant fiberglass with UV protection and ventilation. It is powered by an electric propulsion unit (104) with a redundant motor (126) and regenerative braking. A pair of robotic arms (108) assists in user transfer, while a transferable seat (110) with an integrated hygiene system ensures convenience. Control options include a panel (112) with programmable settings, an AI-based voice control unit (114), and a brain- computer interface (116) with non-invasive EEG sensors (130) for hands-free operation. Obstacle detection sensors (118) ensure safety, and a rechargeable battery (120) supports long-term use.
