Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for automated literature analysis and synthesis using an agentic artificial intelligence framework. The system comprises one or more processors and a plurality of modules configured to retrieve a plurality of documents associated with a research domain, convert the documents into a machine-readable format, segment the content into semantic units, and process the semantic units using a plurality of specialized agent components. The system further generates a structured survey document by synthesizing extracted information including background, methodologies, comparisons, results, and limitations. A gap identification module determines one or more research gaps through cross-document analysis, and the system iteratively generates additional sub-survey documents corresponding to the identified gaps. The invention enables scalable, reproducible, and comprehensive synthesis of large-scale literature corpora, thereby reducing manual effort and improving the depth, consistency, and efficiency of literature review processes across multiple domains.
