Abstract: The AgriSmart system is an IoT-enabled, portable soil analysis and AI recommendation system designed to replace traditional laboratory testing with real-time, in-situ digital profiling. The invention integrates an ESP32 microcontroller with high-precision RS485 NPK sensors, pH probes, and capacitive moisture sensors. Technical validation indicates a 92–95% accuracy correlation with traditional laboratory results. The system utilizes a Random Forest machine-learning model to translate raw telemetry into prescriptive advice, functioning as a “Digital Agronomist” to provide crop recommendations across a library of 22 crop types and tailored Variable Rate Application fertilization schedules. With a 15 km LoRaWAN transmission range and a decision-making latency of under 60 seconds, the system bridges the digital divide for smallholder farmers. By focusing on frugal innovation and social entrepreneurship, AgriSmart promotes sustainable land stewardship, reducing environmental chemical runoff by 20% while maximizing land productivity and economic resilience for underserved agricultural communities.
