Abstract: ABSTRACT: AI-Assisted IoT-Based Adaptive Electrodeposition System for Gradient Thin Film Coatings This invention describes an artificial intelligence-assisted, Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled adaptive electrodeposition system for precision-controlled formation of gradient thin-film coatings on conductive substrates. The system integrates real-time electrochemical sensing, closed-loop parameter control, dynamic electrode positioning, and localized electrolyte disturbance to regulate deposition conditions under varying environments. Continuous monitoring of current, voltage, temperature, and impedance enables detection of interfacial instability and diffusion layer variations, facilitating immediate corrective action. A predictive computational module further enhances process stability by forecasting coating growth behavior and optimizing operational parameters. The system supports remote monitoring, data logging, and supervisory control through a cloud-based interface, enabling efficient process management and iterative optimization. By combining adaptive control, intelligent sensing, and network connectivity, the invention significantly improves coating uniformity, repeatability, and functional performance, particularly in applications involving metallic, alloy, and composite thin-film deposition.
