MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631094077 A) filed by Veer Surendra Sai University Of Technology on August 03, 2026, for Ai-Assisted Multi-Sensor Autonomous Mobile Robot For Indoor Logistics And Public Interaction.
Inventors include Trupti Ranjan Mahapatra; Shanti Sworup Biswal; Subham Mishra; Parthasarathi Swain; and Soumyajit Pattanaik.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-assisted autonomous mobile robotic platform designed for indoor logistics, public interaction, navigation, and service automation. The robotic system integrates LiDAR-based mapping, RGB-D depth perception, encoder-based odometry, inertial sensing, and AI-assisted object and human detection. The invention further provides a modular holonomic drive platform utilizing omni-wheels for omnidirectional movement. A novel encoder-based slip-compensation localization mechanism enhances navigation accuracy by reducing wheel slippage errors. The invention is suitable for warehouses, shopping malls, airports, railway stations, hotels, hospitals, and industrial environments.
