Abstract: This project presents an AI-Assisted Platform for Student Retention and Academic Counselling aimed at identifying at-risk students early and enabling timely academic intervention. The platform consolidates existing student data such as attendance records, assessment scores, subject attempt history, and fee status into a unified dashboard, eliminating fragmented analysis. By monitoring these indicators continuously, the system detects early signs of disengagement well before term-end results. Using transparent, rule-based logic combined with suitable machine learning techniques, students are classified into High Risk, Medium Risk, Low Risk and No Risk/Safe categories. An intuitive dashboard allows mentors to view risk trends, understand contributing factors, and initiate structured counselling actions. Automated alerts and periodic notifications ensure that mentors and guardians are informed promptly when intervention is required. By leveraging existing data and avoiding complex or costly analytics solutions, the system provides a practical, explainable, and cost-effective approach to reducing student drop-out rates. This solution empowers educators to act proactively, strengthens preventive academic support, and contributes to improved student retention
