Abstract: ABSTRACT: AI-Based Adaptive Self-Adjusting Road Hump for Intelligent Traffic Control System This invention describes an artificial intelligence-based adaptive traffic regulation system as shown in Figure – 1 employing a self-adjusting road hump for dynamic speed control. The system is configured to monitor real-time vehicular speed, classify vehicle types, and identify emergency- priority vehicles using integrated sensing and analytical mechanisms. Based on evaluated parameters, the system adaptively modifies the geometric profile of a road hump through a controlled actuation process. Overspeeding vehicles trigger elevation of the hump to enforce deceleration, while vehicles operating within permissible limits encounter a reduced profile for smooth passage. Upon detection of emergency vehicles, the system automatically transitions to a flattened state to ensure uninterrupted transit. The invention further enables integration with IoT- based traffic infrastructure for real-time monitoring, data communication, and traffic optimization. The system enhances road safety, reduces vehicular discomfort and damage, and improves emergency response efficiency, thereby providing an intelligent and responsive alternative to conventional fixed speed breakers.
