Abstract: [0018] An artificial-intelligence based Learning Management System comprises an adaptive tutoring system configured to apply a learner-classification gate implemented using a bipartite mapping structure to restrict eligible content modalities before evaluation of a stated learner preference as illustrated in Figure 1. Upon detection of a misconception from a learner response, the system maps the misconception to a node of a knowledge graph and traverses prerequisite relationships upstream to identify a prerequisite gap, which is used as context for generating remedial content. For assessment generation, the system selects a target cell of a two- dimensional matrix comprising a cognitive-level dimension and a knowledge-classification dimension and, before generation, constrains retrieval of source material to material having the knowledge classification corresponding to the target cell. In an embodiment, the knowledge classification is aligned with the Indian Knowledge System and comprises Smriti, Jnana, Kaushal and Viveka. A recalibration and feedback controller independently adjusts the cognitive-level dimension based on learner response speed and accuracy and the knowledge-classification dimension based on a course-level configuration parameter, with repeated failure triggering an escalation procedure.
