Abstract: ABSTRACT AI-BASED AUTONOMOUS ROBOTIC CHARKHA FOR INTELLIGENT YARN MANUFACTURING The traditional charkha is an important spinning system used for converting prepared fibre into yarn through manual operation. However, conventional charkha systems require continuous human effort for controlling spinning speed, yarn tension, fibre feeding, and yarn winding. Variations in manual operation may also affect the uniformity and quality of the produced yarn. To address these problems, this innovation proposes an AI-Driven Autonomous Robotic Charkha System for Automated Yarn Spinning. The proposed system combines artificial intelligence, sensors, motor control, robotic mechanisms, yarn tension monitoring, fibre detection, and automatic winding technology. The system can automatically control the spinning process by monitoring the input material, adjusting motor speed, maintaining suitable yarn tension, detecting variations, and collecting the spun yarn. The AI control unit analyses sensor information and provides suitable control commands to the motor and spinning mechanisms. The proposed system contains six major modules: raw material and input module, sensing and detection module, AI control and decision module, automated spinning and twisting module, yarn quality monitoring module, and motor control with yarn winding module. The innovation aims to reduce manual effort, improve spinning consistency, support continuous operation, and provide controlled yarn production. The system is designed as an automated support system for yarn spinning while maintaining the basic working principle of the traditional charkha.
