Abstract: Abstract The contemporary professional landscape is characterized by rapid technological change and increasing complexity, making traditional career navigation challenging. This paper proposes the design and development of an **AI-Based Career Path Recommender System**. The system leverages machine learning algorithms, specifically collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and natural language processing (NLP), to analyse a user's profile—including skills, qualifications, interests, and work experience—against dynamic labour market data. By processing real-time job postings, industry trends, and skill demand analytics, the AI model generates personalized, adaptive, and data-driven career recommendations. These recommendations suggest viable career trajectories, identify skill gaps, and propose targeted upskilling pathways. The proposed system aims to mitigate career indecision, enhance employability, and bridge the gap between individual aspirations and market needs. A prototype implementation demonstrates the framework's effectiveness in providing actionable insights, evaluated through user satisfaction metrics and recommendation accuracy. The study concludes that AI-driven recommender systems hold significant potential to revolutionize career guidance, making it more scalable, objective, and responsive to the future of work.
