Inventors include Dr. Saif Ahmed Khan; Mr. Saifi Aajam; Ms. Garima Chitranshi; and Ms. Haleema Hashmi.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an AI-based early infection detection and monitoring system for supporting timely identification of possible infection conditions. The system comprises a data acquisition module, a preprocessing module, a feature extraction module, an artificial intelligence-based detection module, a risk assessment module, a monitoring module, and an alert generation module. The data acquisition module collects physiological and/or clinical parameters of a subject, which are processed and analyzed to identify relevant changes associated with a possible infection. The artificial intelligence-based detection module analyzes the processed information using machine learning and/or deep learning techniques to generate an infection prediction and determine an infection risk score. The monitoring module compares newly collected parameters with previous and/or baseline parameters to identify abnormal changes over time. Based on the determined risk and detected abnormalities, the alert generation module generates an early infection alert and communicates the same to a healthcare professional, caregiver, patient, and/or connected healthcare system. The system further supports identification of parameters contributing to the prediction and evaluation of subsequent observations, thereby providing an automated approach for early infection detection and continuous monitoring.
