Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for the development of an AI-Based Energy Management & Fault Prediction System for Smart Power Networks designed specifically to enhance the performance, reliability, and stability of electrical power systems. This system will include IoT-based sensor units, edge computers, communication network, artificial intelligence analytics engine, energy optimization module, fault prediction module, and user interface module. Real-time data about electricity and environment will be gathered from transformers, feeders, renewable energy sources, battery storages, and consumer load. Then the data will be pre- processed and analyzed using intelligent analysis and machine learning/deep learning techniques. The AI engine will predict energy demand, predict failures of equipment, detect anomalies, predict asset condition, and make recommendations on the actions required in the field of predictive maintenance. At the same time, the energy management module will optimize the process of generation, storage, and distribution of electricity while maximizing the renewable energy usage and reducing the transmission losses.
