Abstract: The invention relates to artificial intelligence-based assistive memory systems, and particularly to a system and method for forming episodic memory records from observed real-world activities and retrieving such records through natural voice interaction. A camera unit captures visual samples from a user environment, and a processing and analysis unit applies event triggering, object or face detection and recognition, and event formation to generate a structured episodic memory record including an event identifier, what field, who field, where field, when field, and visual evidence field. The record is stored in an episodic memory storage unit. A query processing unit including speech input, speech-to-text conversion, intent detection and entity extraction, episodic memory search, and relevant-result selection retrieves relevant events, and a response generation unit outputs context-aware recall responses with optional linked visual evidence.
