Abstract: ABSTRACT: AI-Based Multimodal Acoustic-Visual Directional Vacuum System for Targeted Mosquito Capture This invention describes an artificial intelligence- based mosquito capture and elimination system configured to detect, identify, track, and capture mosquitoes using multimodal sensing and directional airflow control. The system includes an acoustic sensing module configured to detect mosquito wingbeat frequencies, a visual sensing module configured to confirm mosquito presence and identity, and an AI processing unit configured to perform multimodal data fusion, confidence scoring, false-positive reduction, and real-time decision making. A tracking and prediction module estimates mosquito trajectory and future position, while a directional vacuum subsystem dynamically aligns an adjustable suction nozzle toward the detected mosquito and modulates airflow intensity for targeted capture. A capture chamber retains and optionally eliminates the mosquito using passive or active means. Safety features prevent operation near humans, and optional connectivity enables logging and analysis of mosquito activity. The invention provides selective, chemical-free, energy-efficient, and safe mosquito control for indoor and smart-environment applications.
