Abstract: ABSTRACT [0022] In today's recruitment process doesn't allow for a considerable amount of time to be spent shortlisting or selecting any candidate manually. This is further complicated by the fact that hire managers also pore through scores of resumes, leading to some candidates being left out due to time constraints. Furthermore, additional effort, or even more dangerous yet, manual-all manual activities-open up not only room for bias, but also inconsistency, and possible oversight for those best qualified for the job. Therefore, traditional resume screening has become very unautomated and inadequate in managing the mountains of applications received. It is hoped that this will be achieved by automatic screening and ranking of resumes that would be completely NLP- and NER-based. Key details: skills, experience, education, and certifications, would be extracted from resumes and matched with the job descriptions. The system would then use TF-IDF and cosine similarity and entity extraction and cal construction of relevance scores in ranking resumes. This approach ensures shorter and fast, accurate, and unbiased candidate shortlisting. It also reduces human effort involved in recruitment while increasing efficiency. systematic storage of resumes, dynamic query searches for resume classifications, and automated summaries of candidates make the recruitment process more streamlined and efficient.
