Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence based smart welding fixture with auto-deformation compensation for minimizing thermal distortion during welding operations. The system comprises adaptive clamps, adjustable locators, thermal sensors, strain gauges, servo actuators, and an embedded AI control unit. Real-time thermal and mechanical data are continuously monitored and processed using machine learning algorithms to predict weld-induced deformation. Based on the prediction, the system automatically adjusts fixture components to counteract expected distortion during welding. The invention improves dimensional accuracy, reduces residual stress and rework, enhances manufacturing productivity, and enables intelligent smart manufacturing suitable for Industry 4.0 applications.
