MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641125044 A) filed by Aditya University on October 19, 2026, for Ai Based System And Method For Automated Code Generation And Bug Detection Using Large Language Model.
Inventors include Dr. Chintureena Thingom; and Dr. Thangjam Ravichandra.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-based system and method for automated source code generation and bug detection using a large language model. The system comprises a requirement interpretation module, a project context management module, a code generation engine, a code verification engine, a defect analysis module, an iterative refinement controller, and a code acceptance module. The system converts a software development request into structured requirements and generates source code using contextual project information. The generated code is examined through syntax validation, static analysis, automated test execution, and runtime validation to identify potential defects. Detected defects are classified and associated with corresponding code segments to generate structured diagnostic feedback. The feedback is supplied to the large language model for producing revised code, which undergoes subsequent verification. A code acceptance module evaluates predefined acceptance conditions and determines whether the code is eligible for release, integration, or further review.
