MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119671 A) filed by M Pro Private Limited on October 06, 2026, for Ai-Based System And Method For Validating And Quantifying Collection Of Material At Point Of Collection.
Inventors include Dasharatha Krishnappa; Darshan Chikkasiddegowda; Sahana B D; and Harshitha V.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides an AI-based system (104) and method (1100) for validating and quantifying collection of material at a point of collection. The AI-based system (104) receives the captured video at an edge computing device (106) carried by the collection vehicle (102). The AI-based system (104) determines, by an AI- based video engine and by temporal fusion of at least two frames, a material type and a composition of the material. The AI-based system (104) estimates a weight of the material based on a volumetric weight-estimation module. The AI-based system (104) identifies, by a premises-identification module, source premises from which the material is collected. The AI-based system (104) determines, by segregation-scheme module, a segregation-quality for the identified source premises. The AI-based system (104) outputs an audible confirmation of the collection and an audible identification of a non-conforming fraction of the determined composition together with audible prompt to collection user.
