Abstract: AI-Based Wall-Climbing Robot for Crack Detection, Filling and Painting The present invention relates to an autonomous wall-climbing robotic system for detecting, repairing and painting cracks on vertical wall surfaces. The system comprises a robotic frame having a plurality of wall-contacting wheels driven by geared motors, a vacuum-based adhesion mechanism comprising suction cups, a vacuum pump, vacuum tubes and flexible rubber sealing skirts for maintaining attachment to the wall surface, and an onboard battery and controller for autonomous operation. A camera and associated sensors are configured to capture wall-surface images and detect cracks using an artificial intelligence-based image-processing system. Upon detection of a crack, the robot automatically stops and maintains adhesion to the wall, dispenses putty from an onboard putty tank through a putty nozzle to fill the detected crack, and subsequently applies paint from an onboard paint tank through a paint spray nozzle. After completion of the repair and painting operation, the robot resumes movement and continues inspection. The system thereby provides an integrated, autonomous solution for wall inspection, crack filling and painting while reducing manual labour, time and safety risks associated with working at elevated locations. !-
