MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611078900 A) filed by Gla University, Mathura on June 26, 2026, for Ai-Controlled Adaptive Rotary Drive Shaft System For Surgical Instruments.
Inventor includes Dr. Bhupesh Chander Semwal.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence-controlled adaptive rotary drive shaft system (100) for surgical instruments. The system comprises a rotary drive shaft (105), a high-precision motor (110), a sensor module (115), an Artificial Intelligence processing unit (120), a feedback control system (125), and a surgical tool interface (130). The sensor module (115) acquires force, vibration, and temperature data associated with operation of the rotary drive shaft (105). The Artificial Intelligence processing unit (120) processes the acquired data to determine rotary control parameters. The feedback control system (125) regulates rotational speed, torque, and direction of the high-precision motor (110) based on the rotary control parameters. The system further performs parameter limiting or shutdown when an abnormal operating condition is detected.
