Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a system (100) and a method (300) to manage a library. The system (100) includes an input unit (102) configured to acquire a facial image of entities, and a robotic arm (104) configured to fetch one or more books that are selected or returned. The system (100) is configured to authenticate identity of the entities by facial recognition and enable access for selecting the one or more books using a computing device (112), picking the selected or returned books from a first pre-defined area, positioning the books on a conveyor belt (114) to transport the books to a shelf, retrieve the books from the shelf, upon receipt of a command from the input unit (102) and position the books in a second pre-defined area.
