The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: An AI-driven LiDAR camera orchestration system (200) and method for adaptive composite surface intelligence are disclosed for real-time closed-loop correction of filament winding of a fibre-reinforced composite overwrap onto a liner of a high-pressure composite pressure vessel. A filament winding machine (201) deposits a resin-impregnated fibre onto a rotating liner along a programmed geodesic path defined by a reference dataset derived from vessel design, finite-element analysis and validation. An imaging arrangement (205) comprising a high-speed vision camera and a LiDAR sensor acquires synchronised image and depth data of a fibre deposition zone. A defect detection module (207) implementing a physics-informed neural network determines winding angle, fibre band position and winding defects. A reference comparison module (208) computes deviations from target values, while a correction module (209) generates correction commands using proportional- integral-derivative or model-predictive control.
