Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of an intelligent system that uses artificial intelligence to help ESL students learn English and achieve better academic results in higher education settings. This intelligent system makes use of AI, NLP, machine learning, learning analytics, and adaptive recommendation to offer personal ESL instruction depending on the learners’ level of proficiency, engagement, and academic performance. The system gathers data from tests, class interactions, learning management systems, and communicational processes to detect strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles of the learners. Intelligent predictive models create personalized learning trajectories, instant feedback, pronunciation support, vocabulary improvement, grammar improvement, and writing suggestions for the learners. Moreover, this intelligent system monitors the academic performance of the learners and predicts possible learning challenges, allowing teachers to intervene on time. FIG.1
