Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated attendance monitoring system (100) configured to record attendance using live video streams captured through one or more CCTV camera modules (102). The system includes a video processing and frame extraction module (104), an artificial intelligence–based face detection module (106), a feature extraction unit (108) configured to generate facial embeddings, a database module (110), and a matching and decision engine (112) for identity verification. Upon successful recognition, an automated attendance recording module (114) generates timestamped attendance entries and updates a centralized dashboard and notification module (116). The invention enables passive, non-collaborative attendance registration without physical interaction or dedicated biometric hardware, thereby improving scalability, security, operational efficiency, and real-time institutional monitoring.
