Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence enabled intrusion detection and adaptive threat classification system for securing modern network infrastructures. The system collects communication data from network devices, cloud resources, endpoints, and Internet of Things devices, and processes the data through a preprocessing and feature extraction engine to generate standardized behavioral features. An artificial intelligence learning engine creates and continuously updates behavioral models using historical and real-time network activity. An intrusion detection engine identifies anomalous events, while a threat classification engine categorizes detected threats and assigns dynamic risk scores based on contextual and behavioral parameters. An explainable decision engine provides interpretable reasoning for each classification, and an automated mitigation engine selectively performs defensive actions such as network isolation, communication blocking, and access restriction. The invention improves detection accuracy, reduces false positives, enables adaptive learning, and enhances overall cybersecurity resilience.
