Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-enabled multi-layer smart dining plate system (100) for real-time detection of food toxicity, spoilage, microbial contamination and unsafe food serving conditions. The system (100) comprises a reusable food-grade plate body (1), an upper food-contact layer (2), a pH-responsive spoilage detection layer (3), a biosensor detection layer (4), a thermal monitoring layer (5), a sensor signal acquisition unit (6), an AI-enabled contamination analysis module (7), a contamination scoring module (8), a visual alert interface (9), a wireless communication module (10), a low-power control and power management unit (11), and a voice- based warning unit (12). The system evaluates combined pH, microbial, biochemical, volatile compound and thermal parameters in real time to classify food as safe, suspicious or unsafe. The contamination scoring module (8) generates a predictive food toxicity score, while the visual alert interface (9), wireless communication module (10), and voice-based warning unit (12) provide instant warnings before consumption of unsafe food. The invention enables reusable, portable, low-power and preventive food hygiene monitoring without laboratory dependency for hospitals, schools, public kitchens, military kitchens, disaster relief camps and domestic use.
