MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611068492 A) filed by Chandigarh University on June 01, 2026, for Ai-Enabled Portal System For Predictive Hospital Occupancy Search Networks.

Inventors include Prof. Dr. Tripti Sharma; and Prof. Dr. Nitin Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI enabled, portal based system for predictive search of hospital occupancy across integrated networks of government and private hospitals. The system comprises a centralized cloud platform connected to hospital portals through which authorized hospital staff update patient admission, discharge and bed readiness events in real time. An occupancy determination engine validates these events to generate verified real-time occupancy status, while an artificial intelligence based prediction module estimates future bed availability using historical and operational data. A unified mobile application enables users and emergency responders to search, rank and select hospitals based on real-time and predicted availability, proximity and suitability. The system further integrates ambulance booking and path finder modules to coordinate patient transport and navigation. The invention overcomes limitations of fragmented and non-predictive prior systems by providing a standardized, scalable and interoperable platform for efficient healthcare resource discovery and emergency response management.
