Abstract: Abstract: A smart parking device and approach employing artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) technology for detecting the occupancy status of parking spaces in real-time. In order to effectively identify available and occupied parking spaces, the invention makes use of a sensor-based detection module integrated with an edge-based AI processing unit. The system acquires parking-space information using ultrasonic, infrared, proximity, or image-based sensors and processes the acquired data using an AI/ML-based occupancy classification mechanism. The detected parking status is communicated to a centralized server or cloud platform for real-time monitoring and intelligent parking-space management.
