The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and method for multi-modal quality profiling and real-time feedback generation for chilli pods. The system comprises a computer vision module configured to acquire high-resolution images of chilli pods and generate morphological measurement data, a moisture measurement module configured to measure moisture content of fresh or dried pods, and a near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy module configured to acquire spectral data indicative of capsaicin concentration. A processing arrangement, operatively coupled to the sensing modules, performs data fusion using embedded processing circuitry to determine chilli quality parameters including pungency, color uniformity, moisture-induced degradation, and defect indicators. The method includes capturing images, measuring moisture, acquiring spectral signatures, combining these datasets, determining a quality grade based on stored threshold conditions, and generating device-interpretable feedback signals recommending improvements to harvesting, drying, cultivation, and post-harvest handling, thereby enabling rapid, non-destructive, and automated quality assessment.
