MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411096986 A) filed by Coer University on December 09, 2024, for Ai Enhanced Lane Keeping In Autonomous Vehicle.
Inventors include B D Patel; and Dr. Prabhat Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: This invention relates to improving the lane keeping feature of autonomous vehicle. Existing vision based solutions perform poor in bad weather conditions. Other solutions integrate multiple modalities for performance improvement like LiDAR, Ultrasonic sensors and GPS data. The performance further can be improved by placing RFID passive tags on the lane at certain distance on the road and when vehicle crosses the lane, RFID receiver in the vehicle can detects and provides feedback to the navigation system of the autonomous vehicle.
