Abstract: ABSTRACT AI-ENHANCED MULTIHOP RECONFIGURABLE INTELLIGENT SURFACE ASSISTED TERAHERTZ COMMUNICATION FRAMEWORK FOR EMERGENCY IOT CONNECTIVITY The present invention discloses an AI-enhanced Multihop Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) assisted Terahertz (THz) Communication Framework (100) for providing resilient and energy-efficient emergency IoT connectivity. The framework comprises a base station (110) with THz transmitter (220), distributed RIS panels (120, 130, 140) forming multihop reflective topology, IoT devices (150), and an AI controller (160) with deep reinforcement learning (DRL) module (170). The DRL module enables adaptive phase optimization, intelligent hop selection, and predictive beam management without requiring perfect channel state information. The system addresses THz propagation challenges including severe path loss and molecular absorption through AI-driven multihop RIS coordination. Performance validation demonstrates 45% higher throughput, 30% improved energy efficiency, and over 90% reduction in outage probability compared to conventional systems. The invention is particularly suited for disaster recovery, defense communication, and infrastructure-deficient environments requiring rapid deployment and autonomous operation. [
