Abstract: Abstract The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence–driven computer vision system for real-time object detection and autonomous decision-making in intelligent vehicles. The proposed system provides a low-latency, high-accuracy framework that enables autonomous vehicles to perceive dynamic road environments and execute safe driving actions under diverse and challenging conditions. The invention integrates a camera-based image acquisition module, adaptive image pre- processing techniques, and deep learning–based object detection models to identify and classify multiple road entities, including vehicles, pedestrians, traffic signs, and obstacles, in real time. Further, the system incorporates an intelligent decision-making module that analyzes detected object attributes such as spatial position, motion, and contextual relevance to generate appropriate autonomous responses, including braking, speed regulation, lane maneuvering, and obstacle avoidance. The architecture is optimized for real-time execution on edge or embedded platforms, ensuring robustness against environmental variations such as low illumination, occlusion, and high-speed motion. The invention enhances perception reliability and decision responsiveness compared to conventional driver-assistance systems, thereby improving road safety and operational efficiency. The proposed system is scalable, dataset-agnostic, and suitable for deployment in autonomous vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and intelligent transportation infrastructures
