Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-Powered Groundwater Mapping and Smart Irrigation System for Rural MSMEs, which integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, cloud computing, and wireless communication technologies to improve groundwater management and irrigation efficiency. The system comprises a network of IoT sensors configured to collect real-time data including soil moisture, groundwater level, temperature, humidity, rainfall, and water flow. The collected data is integrated with satellite imagery, digital elevation models, land-use information, hydrogeological data, and meteorological records to generate comprehensive datasets for analysis. An AI-based analytics module employs machine learning algorithms to identify groundwater potential zones, predict groundwater availability and recharge, estimate crop water requirements, and generate optimized irrigation schedules. A cloud- based decision support platform processes and stores the data while providing real-time visualization, predictive analytics, and user notifications through web and mobile applications. Based on AI-generated recommendations, an intelligent irrigation controller automatically operates pumps and irrigation valves to deliver the required quantity of water according to soil moisture levels, groundwater status, weather forecasts, and crop growth conditions. The system continuously monitors field conditions, updates irrigation decisions, and generates alerts for abnormal groundwater depletion, drought conditions, or equipment faults. The proposed invention is scalable, cost-effective, and suitable for deployment in rural agricultural communities, smallholder farms, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). By integrating groundwater mapping and precision irrigation into a unified intelligent platform, the invention enhances groundwater conservation, improves water-use efficiency, reduces energy consumption and operational costs, increases crop productivity, and promotes sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural resource management.
