Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered Laboratory Operating System (LabOS AI) configured to assist diagnostic laboratories in managing and monitoring laboratory workflows through a unified digital platform. The proposed system provides an integrated laboratory operating environment combining patient registration, sample tracking, test management, quality control monitoring, machine monitoring, report management, inventory management, AI- assisted analysis, patient communication, analytics, authentication, and a browser-based laboratory dashboard. The system receives laboratory workflow information including patient details, sample information, test information, report data, quality control records, machine status, and inventory information. The collected information is processed through the laboratory workflow management layer and AI engine to provide operational insights, alerts, predictions, and assistance to authorized laboratory personnel. The AI engine may provide natural-language laboratory assistance, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), report information extraction, turnaround-time analysis, inventory forecasting, anomaly detection, and workflow assistance. AI-generated suggestions are presented to authorized users for review and verification rather than replacing laboratory professionals.
