The system aims to promote sustainable farming practices, reduce input costs, and improve overall farm productivity while ensuring ecological balance. AI-powered multi-crop intercropping recommendation system suggests an optimal combination of maize and cowpea. Based on the soil’s nitrogen deficiency and the local climate, the system recommends planting cowpea alongside maize to naturally fix nitrogen in the soil, reducing the need for chemical fertilizers. This combination also helps in suppressing weeds and preventing soil erosion. For the same field, the system might suggest another combination, like tomatoes and basil, where basil acts as a natural pest repellent for tomatoes.
