Abstract: Al SAHAYAK - PREDICTIVE DIGITAL TWIN PLATFORM FOR MSME MACHINES A low-cost Al-based predictive digital twin platform for MSME machinery predictive maintenance is revealed. The platform consists of an ESP32-class microcontroller edge gateway that streams sensor data to a cloud server via MQTT, low- cost loT sensors (MEMS accelerometer vibration sensor, temperature sensor, and MEMS microphone sound sensor) mounted on the machine, a camera for periodic visual wear inspection, and an artificial intelligence pipeline that preprocesses the signals, extracts FFT/RMS spectral, temperature, acoustic, and visual features, detects anomalies against a learned per-machine baseline, classifies the likely fault type, and assigns severity as Low, Medium, High, or Critical. While a digital twin profile store maintains a live per-machine record of faults, repairs, replacement parts, and operating hours that refines predictions over time, a maintenance decision module estimates maintenance urgency, remaining useful life, repair time, repair cost, and production-downtime loss and generates a repair-versus-replacement recommendation. Predictive maintenance is now affordable for MSME units without specialized maintenance engineers thanks to a mobile dashboard that displays the health status and a single plain-language suggested next action, along with immediate alerts for major defects.
