MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617062706 A) filed by Compagnie Generale Des Etablissements Michelin on May 18, 2026, for Airless Tyre Carcass Produced By Additive Manufacturing Using A Material Reinforced With Long Fibres.

Abstract: The invention relates to a carcass (24) for an airless tyre (1) produced by additive manufacturing, wherein the carcass (24) comprises various structural elements (25) formed by depositing a printing material (21) using a nozzle (12), wherein the printing material (21) comprises a percentage P of long fibres (15) coated in a thermoplastic matrix (16), and wherein the reinforcement by the long fibres improves the load capacity and the mechanical strength of the carcass (24).
