The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: An ammonia desulfurization method for significantly reducing ammonia slip and use thereof. The desulfurization method includes the following steps: making a flue gas enter a concentration and cooling section (13), and cooling it down to below 60°C; then making the flue gas rise to an absorption section (12), passing it through a first packing layer (121) and a second spray mechanism (122), and demisting it by a primary demister (123) before entering a purification section (11); passing the flue gas through a second packing layer (113) in the purification section (11), and capturing ammonium sulfate and excess ammonia through scrubbing the flue gas, and then demisting it by a combined demister before entering a chimney for discharging in compliance with standards; and making a compressed air enter an oxidation section (14) to oxidize an absorption liquid refluxing from the absorption section (12), and then sending a liquid formed after full oxidation back to the absorption section (12) for spraying. The method not only markedly reduces the amount of ammonia slip but also enhances the absorption efficiency of sulfur dioxide in a flue gas, thereby fundamentally reducing ammonia slip and avoiding the occurrence of aerosol phenomena.
