Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ACTIVATED ELECTRODE FOR EVOLUTION REACTIONS AND A METHOD OF PREPARATION THEREOF The present invention relates to an activated electrode for evolution reactions, specifically Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) and Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) and a method of preparation thereof. The electrode comprises of a single atom hybrid electrocatalyst, an interlayer, and an electrode. Interface engineering of electrode and the electrocatalyst with same or different seeding layer of the elemental composition with the electroactive hybrid catalyst, enables lowest over potential for HER and OER reaction, due to minimal interface resistance which performs low voltage electrolysis process.
